Shetland Arts shall have the right to refuse you access to hansel2012.org at any time and for any reason without giving you any advance notice. Shetland Arts shall not be liable for any losses or damages whatsoever (other than losses or damages for death or physical injury arising out of the negligence of Shetland Arts or its employees) arising from your inability to access any of the pages of hansel2012.org.
For submitting a film
You agree to the following rules in submitting a film to hansel2012.org:
- Your film meets Youtube's Community Guidelines.
- Your film meets Youtube's Format Guidelines.
- The content of any film submitted must be your own original work.
- The content of any film submitted must not be defamatory or obscene.
- The content of any film submitted must not infringe any UK laws.
- Your film must be five minutes or under.
- Shetland Arts has permission to share any film submitted.*
- You must keep the master copy of your film and allow Shetland Arts access to this material if requested.
- You must have the consent of anyone who is identifiable in your film or the consent of their parent/guardian if they are under 16.
- Unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, violent, threatening, harmful, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, racially offensive or otherwise objectionable material is not permitted.
- No spamming, obviously commercial or off-topic material.
- Respect copyright. Only upload videos that you made or that you are authorised to use. This means don't upload videos you didn't make, or use content in your videos to which someone else owns the copyright, such as music tracks, snippets of copyrighted programmes or videos made by other users, without the requisite authorisations.
- Be aware that you may be misunderstood, so if your film has a message try to be clear and expect that people may understand your contribution differently than you intended.
- No advertising or promotion of products or services.
- No inappropriate user names or film titles (e.g. vulgar or offensive).
- You agree to provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself and agree to maintain and promptly update this information.
- Shetland Arts shall have the right at any time and for any reason to remove from the pages of hansel2012.org any material transmitted by you without giving you any advance notice and Shetland Arts shall not be liable for any losses or damages whatsoever arising from the removal of such material (other than losses or damages for death or physical injury arising out of the negligence of Shetland Arts or its employees).
- If you remove your film from Youtube or would like to see your film removed from hansel2012.org, you must inform Shetland Arts in advance.
* By sharing any film with Shetland Arts you agree to grant to Shetland Arts, free of charge, a non-exclusive, perpetual and worldwide licence to re-publish any material you submit, post, upload, email or otherwise transmit to hansel2012.org and permission to use the material in any way it wants (including modifying and adapting it) for the purposes of displaying it on hansel2012.org or in any way in relation to the Hansel of Film programme. You also permit other users to share your contribution on other social networking sites. You hereby waive all of the moral rights that you have under Chapter IV of the Copyright, Design and Patents Act 1988 in respect of any material you submit, post, upload, email or otherwise transmit to hansel2012.org.
Shetland Arts takes the privacy of Hansel of Film participants very seriously and we are committed to safeguarding the privacy of participants. In order to provide you with our services or process any film submissions you make, we may collect personal information about you from our website, telephone conversations, emails, application forms, acceptance on mailing lists, written communications and business cards. Any personal data relating to you will be used and recorded by us in accordance with current data protection legislation and our Privacy Policy. We may use your personal information to process any request for information, or to comply with any statutory function or legal obligation. We will also use the information we hold to communicate with you, for example in processing film/runner applications, for supplying information to you, for record keeping purposes, to contact you, in aggregate for market research and to improve the quality of our service.
All films submitted to hansel2012.org will be moderated by Shetland Arts before being published on the website. Moderation will only take place during office hours so it may take some time for your contribution to be published on the website, if it is published at all, so please be patient. Shetland Arts will, when necessary, not publish any content which it feels does not comply with the Terms and Conditions or any content that may put it in legal jeopardy such as potentially libellous or defamatory postings or material posted in potential breach of copyright.

For applying to be a runner
You agree to the following rules in applying to be a runner:
- You must be aged 16 years or older. If you are under 18 years old you must have the consent of a parent or guardian.
- You agree to provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself and agree to maintain and promptly update this information.
- You agree to allow Shetland Arts to take promotional photographs and video of you and share this material in anyway way it sees fit.
- Unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, violent, threatening, harmful, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, racially offensive or otherwise objectionable material is not permitted in your application.
